Micron RealSSD C300: Performance Video, Fastest Yet

Up until one of the best performing SSD’s which is widely available has been Intel’s 34nm X25-M SSD, however we have recently heard details regarding Micron’s new RealSSD C300.
This drive is said to be the fastest ever SSD ever produced, and is said to be about 8 times faster than a standard 7200rpm standard hard drive.

Booting Windows is extremely fast and copying large file sizes is over twice as fast, also applications launch faster.
Perhaps what is most impressive is that this hard drive is not running at its 6GB/s speed, infact it is restricted to half that speed, even with these restrictions the drive performs very well.
It is thought that these drives will be available in both 1.8 inch and 2.5 inch form factors, both form factors will offer 128GB and 256GB capacities and should launch in Q1 2010.
