Boxee Box by D-Link: Release and Details



Boxee have announced that its partner for its Boxee Box is D-Link, which is the device designed for use in the living room. This new device will make it easier to enjoy content not only from the Internet but also your computer as well; this will then be relayed to your TV.

The Boxee Box will allow you to watch tens of thousands of TV shows and movies; you can then organize them in an order of your preference. The new device also allows you to store and view your photos as well as listen to your music collection. All this can be done from your home network or sources over the Internet, such as Pandora.

Engadget explains that the Computer Electronics Association has already recognized the Boxee Box by D-Link by winning the Best of Innovations award. The device even makes it easy for friend’s to view each other’s content by using social network sites, such as Facebook and Twitter.

To make it easy for users to connect a number of devices to the Boxee Box there are a number of connections, such HDMI, 2 x USB ports, RCA Audio, SPDIF and many more. The device even comes with Wi-Fi, making it easier to connect to your home network.

The Boxee Box by D-Link will be available in the first half of 2010; there are no pricing details yet.
